Make it six loses in a row...a wasted great 1st period, ou!!! it's hard to watch. Then just to add insult to injury (or injury to insult, in this case) turns out that Huet is to have surgery today to repair his injured left hamstring, meaning he is probably done for the season.
So all a Habs fan can do at this point is wait....scour the rumor wire, dream up as many wacky and wild trade scenarios as they can...it's all that sustains us at this point. GM Gainey continues to be silent .. hmm Silent Bob..apt. C'mon Bob get'er done, do something, sell if you must, do anything to distract the fan from the ineptitude that is this team on ice.

1) Even with the Jacket win the Habs are still in a hole. Played more games than most of the other contending teams AND their #1 goalie is out
2) Is the hole too deep to climb out of, or to trade their way out of? Possibly. It would take a complete turn around at this point to salvage the season. Don't see this group as assembled as being able to do that. Disappointed with Koivu's lack of leadership, which seems to be coinciding with his lack of production/tendancy to take bad penalties
I can't disagree with anything you sai...I take issue a little with the Saku comments, he is in a funk, but has the heart of a lion. The Habs pull the same trick every year, usually it takes a comeback from injury from Saku, or an amazing run in the nets (Huet last year..Halak this year???) to pull this team into the post season. We will see what happens...either way the Habs will be golfing no later then early May.
1) We have always respected Saku for what he has overcome/accomplished, but (last night not withstanding) his production/leadership during this slide has to be objectively examined
The Habs top to bottom need to be objectively examined... but today I am trying to be positive. The February weather and piss poor play by my boys had me down..let me have just one day of delusion, were all is almost right in the world.
