Who'd have thunk it? Not this fella, last fall I believed that the best that this team could do was creep into the playoffs, wow, was I and every other pundit in the hockey world wrong. If anyone of us had of predicted that the Habs would finish at the top of the heap in the Eastern Conference, we would have been called delusional, or at the very least uber-optimistic.
Tips of my hat have to go out to Bob Gainey, Guy Carboneau, Alex Kovalev, Carey Price, Tomas Plekanec, Andrei Markov, Mike Komisarek, Roman Hamrlik, the Kostitsyn brothers and Mark Striet. There are names left of the list, my hope is that guys like Saku, Higgins, and Ryder can come up big in the playoffs, they as well as those mentioned on my hat tip list, are key to playoff success.
I am worried about the Bruins, yes, the Habs have owned the Bruins all season, and historically, but the law of averages says that the Bruins are gonna win a couple of games at least. Godspeed Les Boys!

I wouldnt worry, both talent and history favour Montreal...Boston will win 1 maybe 2 games and it will be a rough series but, The good guys should prevail.
Agreed, its just me being pessimistic, it comes with being a Habs fan. Oh, and Carbo in his infinite wisdom is dressing Breezer tonight, and not O'Bryne. There must be a sex tape or something, fark.
Hes putting in Brisebois? I guess O'Byrne must be hurt, cause, that makes NO sense! @_@----!!!
1) Congrats on your series win. Just not sure why there would be rioting in the streets afterwards?
2) This is a city that has seen its share of Cups. You'd think a simple first round series win wouldn't generate such intensity, etc?

Never underestimate the enthusiasm of Quebecquois hockey fans...The Leafs claim to have the most rabid fans but, if hockey is an obssession in TO, it's a religion in Quebec!(Of course, there's also a few jerks who just want an excuse to destoy things or loot a shop!)
Mtl is a passionate city, and parties hard, there was a euphoria regarding the 1st round win, but I think the rioters were less hockey fans and more punks and squeegy kids, who like to mess shit up, they played the same game when GnR left the stage mid-show, and when Steve-o was in town. There are always a few bad seeds out there.
